What do HCG Injections Do?
A HCG injection contains a hormone known as Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG), and does up to several different things to the body depending on the gender of the recipient and the dosage being administered. Primarily, HCG injections are used to stimulate ovulation in women who don’t ovulate as much as they should (or at all). This can be due to various conditions. HCG injections help to produce and release eggs from the ovaries, taking only 2 days or less to do so. However, if the injection is instead given to a man, it will improve the production of testosterone.
There is a wide variety of causes for low testosterone, but in most of these cases, HCG injections will usually enhance testosterone and increase sperm volume. Because of this, the injections are sometimes used as a medical treatment on teenagers that are not hitting puberty on time due to issues with their pituitary glands. Less commonly, HCG can sometimes be used on pre-pubescent boys who have testicular growth problems, such as the testicles not lowering into the scrotum.
A HCG injection is considered highly effective for losing weight. There is strong speculation that the hormone reacts with the hypothalamus gland, which explains why noticeable weight loss can occur upon receiving the injections. It results in more fat being released within the body, meaning it won’t require as much fat from food that has been consumed. HCG injections – in combination with a low-calorie diet – can lead to rapid weight loss in both women and men, and tends to eliminate hunger, with the exception of mild hunger in the first week. This makes it a very appealing weight loss method to many.
The HCG weight loss diet was developed by Albert T.W. Simeons – a doctor from the UK who studied in Germany to become an endocrinologist. Dr Simeons noticed a pattern in results that showed the effects of HCG in women and young boys that were put on the injections for the sake of increasing ovulation and speeding up delayed puberty. HCG injections were never considered a weight loss method at this time, but after the discovery of HCG’s effect on body fat, the injections rose in popularity as a way to lose weight quickly and easily.
As you can see, HCG injections can be used for several potentially harmful conditions, from low testosterone to morbid obesity. This has allowed the injections to be marketed to multiple target audiences. Overall, they are an effective treatment to go with if suffering from any of the conditions described above, especially as a lot of other treatments are ineffective and with greater risk.
